Legal / Privacy Policy

Your training. Your choices.

Effective date: October 5, 2026

This policy covers Iron Sheet for iPhone and ironsheet.app, operated by Outergy Group, LLC (“we”, “us”). Iron Sheet has no account, ads, analytics or tracking. We do not sell your data.

01

What stays on your phone

You enter profile names, coaching notes, body weight, programs, equipment settings and workout records, including dates, exercises, reps and loads. Iron Sheet saves them in local app files to run your training log, remember starting loads, show history and charts, and create exports. Each client profile has separate training records. Iron Sheet has no server and no account, and does not synchronize profiles between phones. Optional Apple Health sharing also keeps a small record on the phone of which workouts you already saved there, so they are not saved twice.

02

Optional Apple Health sharing

With your permission and only when you choose to share a finished workout, Iron Sheet writes a traditional strength-training workout with an estimated time interval. If you have entered body weight and allow active-energy writes, it also writes estimated active energy. It asks for no read access and reads no health records.

Only the profile explicitly linked as the phone owner’s own profile can share to Apple Health. A trainer must not connect a client’s profile to the trainer’s Health records.

Health information is never used by us for advertising, marketing or data mining, sold, or shared with advertisers or other parties. Iron Sheet does not store personal health information in iCloud®.

Duration and energy are estimates, not sensor measurements. Standard pace uses 5 minutes of warmup plus 2 minutes per logged set; Fast uses 5 minutes of warmup plus 1.5 minutes per logged set. You can change the duration. Energy uses pace, duration and recorded body weight, subtracting resting energy from the pace-based estimate. The estimated interval ends when the workout was finished; it does not measure when lifting began.

03

Retention, deletion and withdrawing consent

Local training records remain until you delete them, replace them by restoring a backup, or delete the app. To remove a client, select that profile, open Settings, tap the training profile, then choose Delete Client and confirm. This permanently removes its plan, starting loads, workout history, notes, body weight and any workout in progress from this iPhone. It also deletes that profile’s local sharing records and clears its Apple Health link. The last profile cannot be deleted; delete the app, rather than offloading it, to erase all local profiles and workout files. Copies you saved as exports remain wherever you put them; delete those separately.

Disconnect Apple Health in Iron Sheet to remove the local profile binding. Revoke write permission in the Apple Health app to withdraw consent at the system level. Remove existing workouts and energy entries in that app separately. Changing local history or deleting Iron Sheet does not remove workouts already saved to Apple Health.

For help accessing or deleting data, email chris@outergy.com. We cannot remotely access your phone or delete records in your Apple Health. We answer deletion requests with written confirmation of the action taken, or that no server-held app records exist, within 30 days. If you send us personal information by email, we use it only to answer your request and retain it only as needed for support and legal obligations; you can request its deletion.

04

Backups and device permissions

CSV exports contain one profile’s history. JSON backups contain all profiles, plans, history and notes. They are ordinary files saved to the location you choose, which may be a cloud service. Iron Sheet does not run its own iCloud sync. Protect exports as private training information. Device backup services you enable are controlled by your device settings and their providers.

Local notifications may be used with your permission. Iron Sheet does not collect location, photos or contacts, and has no crash-reporting or analytics service.

05

This website and support

This website has no analytics, ads, tracking scripts, forms or cookies. It requests only its own page assets. The hosting provider necessarily processes network requests, including IP addresses, and may keep operational logs to serve and secure the website. Emailing support provides us with your email address and the information you choose to send; no workout information is automatically attached.

06

International users and your rights

Depending on where you live, including the EEA and UK, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these directly through your local records, exports and connection controls. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed lawfully. Contact us for help or to exercise rights over support correspondence. You may complain to your local data-protection authority.

Optional external services may process information in other countries under their own privacy policies and transfer safeguards. Local workout logging does not require sending your records to us.

07

Children

Iron Sheet is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it and delete information we hold.

08

Changes and contact

We will update the effective date when this policy changes and explain material changes here. New optional sharing requires your choice and relevant permissions.
